A rescuer as a child I have always known and wanted to be a part of animals lives - to better it in any and every way I could, this has drowned me into post care after rescue and rehabilitation for dogs being rescued from the meat trade here in Cambodia. Me, along with our caring team put all our combined efforts together to make sure all is smooth sailing.
After moving to Cambodia in 2013 with my husband Jan and our Cocker Spaniel who we flew down from Goa, I wanted to do something that I loved with my soul and was driven by passion. Working with Pets is always something I loved putting my heart & soul into while giving me sublime peace, this gave birth to Cambodia’s first and only run Pet Spa “Pet Grooming Cambodia” besides having the salon side of it with grooming packages to meet all pets daily needs like washes, shaves/trims, foot pad clean ups, ear & teeth clean up etc..we have something for every pooch & kitty to feel loved and pampered! Pet massages were not heard of and often people still find it funny to grasp. However, learning how beneficial treatments can be for pets in the long run hasn’t stopped me from living my dreams and making them a reality.
We run two homestay style/ pet boarding properties in Phnom Penh, which I personally live at and the other in temple town Siem Reap which and a very dear friend and animal lover, Chrisella manages. Our Siem Reap branch will be closed from 15th September 2018 for further expansion. Our concept built in the year I and Jan were going to get married and were looking for appropriate accommodation for Tinkerbelle as we couldn't bear the thought that our nine year gentle girl would be locked in a crate or a room. This gave birth to “Pet Sitting Cambodia” Aka “Pet Services Cambodia” From then on there has been no stopping and we are constantly expanding and evolving to add add new services to make it a one stop spot for all animal owners or simply volunteers. From working closely with The animal Hope & Wellness since 2015 to date we have helped to relocate all the dogs rescued, and personally I flew down to drop a batch in February 2018 & as of recent another 17 more - happy that I was able to meet all the five who are adopted out to wonderful families & the current batch we dropped of 19 rescues are in process of being adopted. To date we have also assisted with over 150 pet relocations all across the globe by working closely with our shipping partners or simply offering our assistance to stressed out clients by offering help with airport check-in formalities, applying for export permits, vet health certificates, third country certificates, screw worm certificates for people looking for their pets to be cleared and taken care of until their departure to their respective countries. We also help with Pet cremation services and sell 100% Bio degradable pet urns imported from Spain which can be activated at any point with seeds of your choice once planted.
Our recent extension to our services include Pet food keeping in mind that every pets needs are different. The brands we carry we personally use with our own pets which comprises now if four dogs Snoopy, Sasha, Dustin and the newest to our clan Bambi & six cats - Garfield, Oskar, Laya, Mimi, Asher and JJ of which, 8 are rescues - 3 slaughter house dogs, 5 Cambodian street cat rescues, Sasha is re-homed dog and Snoopy a rescue I flew again from Goa. So our household keeps us pretty much on our toes! We also use 100% human grade consumption meat we use for pre cooked food options, for sale and treats which are all fit for human consumption with added seasoning of your choice. Besides this we have a range of sturdy, good quality toys and training gear.
