Puppylove Daycare is a doggie crèche situated in Durbanville and Tableview, Cape Town.. Our aim is to socialise and exercise your best friend while you are at work. For a dog, there is nothing better than spending time with his own kind. It is reported that dogs that play in a pack like Puppylove are more obedient and relaxed in the home environment, and also gets used to all kinds of different dogs, which makes them better socialised at home.
Puppies and dogs of all ages and sizes are allowed as all dogs get tested for aggression on their first day, so the dogs in daycare are socialised and playful. In winter, we have a covered double garage with warm beds. We have constant supervision and each dog get personal attention daily. We love dogs and will always put them first!
The owner of Puppylove Daycare, Carmia Le Roux, is a passionate animal lover, who has been working with animals from a very young age. After finishing school, she decided to qualify herself so she could understand her canine friends better by doing a Basic Dog Behaviour course in 2008, finishing it with an award of Best Practice. To qualify herself further, Carmia has completed the Hills Veterinary Nutrition Adviser courses. This means she can give you good advice on what to feed your best friend to keep him fit and healthy for longer. She also completed the Advanced Dog behaviour course in 2010, which fully qualifies her to train dogs at a professional level. Your best friend is in good hands!

We are a small home "kennel" situated in the beautiful Fish Hoek Valley, Cape Town. South Africa
What started out many years ago as a love for and want to reproduce my beautiful Labradors led to my eventually achieving my dream of obtaining a well bred Beagle. From there I went on to seek out a suitable female (not an easy task!). And so my darlings Thornwick Pennyjet (Snoopy) and Daniela (Liaka) came to have their first litter.
We have been breeding Beagles for the past 19 years, producing companion dogs with excellent temperament, form and health.
Our Beagles are an integral part of our family and are included in all family activities, live indoors, have their own "lounge" furnished with their own couches! They share the main house with their human family and have the run of a large garden area (1,900 sq. meters).
Daily off lead walks on the sportsfields across the road from my home or on the beach are the highlight of our day. Quite a site to see 4 Beagles running from mole hill to mole hill or chasing the Hadidas or exploring the rock pools.
My years of interest, ongoing research and studies in the "Early Development of the Canine Species" and my qualifications as an Advanced Animal Behaviourist has prepared me to produce the best possible temperament in the puppies I breed.
We choose the best matings possible to optimise the chances of producing genetically sound stock that conform to the breed standard with a confident yet gentle temperament.
A designated nursery is set aside and designed for the arrival of each litter where the prospective mother and I move in a week before the litter is due. They LOVE this special treatment and a real time of bonding takes place.
Once the pups are born I spend 24/7 with the litter and the mother to ensure all is well and to begin the important gentling and training the pups need to go through.
Pups are raised using Puppy Culture Protocols. The program consists of structured protocols based on specific developmental timelines in the young puppy. |

About Us
The dog hotel is on the front row in Molinar. It has a front and back garden and the best bit is a massive roof terrace overlooking the sea. All dogs in my care will have full access to the house/sofas/loungers/beds etc and are very much part of the family on arrival. During the day, before and after walks they will just be around the house, in and out of the garden, bedrooms and can basically chill out wherever they wish. |
