Gyermekkorom óta rajongok a négylábúakért. Szüleim "legnagyobb örömére" számtalanszor vittem haza az utcáról mellém szegődött, kóborló ebeket, cicákat és egyéb sérült kisállatokat. Otthon ápoltam, nevelgettem őket, míg aztán gazdát találtam nekik.
Nagy kalandom Bingóval, az angol szetterrel kezdődött 14 évesen, akit már tudatosan nevelgettem és számomra a világ legokosabb kutyája volt. Kutyaszeretetem azóta is töretlen.
Felnőttként aztán lehetőségem nyílt rá, hogy komolyabban is foglalkozhassam a kutyázással, ahogyan mindig is szerettem volna. Találkozásom a Tükör módszerrel eljuttatott oda, hogy mára a hobbim lehet a hivatásom: Gazdáknak segítek a mindennapi kutyás életük formálásában Tükör oktatóként az Őrmezői kutyaiskola csapatában. A lelkes gazdák sokszor megkerestek azzal a kéréssel, hogy tudnék e hosszabb-rövidebb időre vigyázni kedvencükre.

Ezek a módszerek orvosilag bizonyítottan kiegészíthetik az orvosi beavatkozásokat, így képesek növelni a műtéti eljárások hatékonyságát, tartóssá tenni annak eredményét.
FIZIOTERÁPIA
A fizioterápia egy átfogó kifejezés, és ezek a kezelési lehetőségek szerencsére ma már az állatok számára is elérhetőek. A skála a tudomány előrehaladásával egyre szélesedik, egyre több lehetőségünk nyílik a különböző a módszerek alkalmazására, így központunkban teljesen természetes az, hogy ortopédiai és neurológiai betegségek esetén a gyógyulási folyamatokat a rehabilitációval egészítjük ki, ahogyan azt a humán gyógyászatban is tesszük.
HIDROTERÁPIA
A hidroterápia a víz terápiás célokra történő felhasználását jelenti. A fizioterápián belül alkalmazott kezelési forma, ami máshoz nem fogható eredményeket hoz a kutyák műtéteket követő rehabilitációjában, mozgásszervi-, neurológiai problémák kezelésében, de szerepe a kondíció megtartásában, az izomtónus növelésében vagy az elhízás kezelésében sem megkérdőjelezhető.
ÁLLATORVOSI MÓDSZEREK
Kezeléseink között megtalálható néhány olyan terápiás módszer, ami külön a kezelésre specializált, szakirányú állatorvosi végzettséget igényel. Az ilyen kezeléseket minden esetben szakképzett állatorvos végzi centrumunkban, melyekre külön szakrendelés formájában tudnak jelentkezni hozzánk.

Alapítványunk telephelye egy többfunkciós létesítmény - a Budapesti Állatvédelmi és Természetvédelmi Élménypark - rövid nevén Rex Állatsziget - mely egyaránt szolgálja az állatvilág jobb megismertetését, a helyes állattartási kultúra kialakítását, és a környezettudatos magatartás népszerűsítését.
