The Brock Family is proud to offer discerning pet parents two upscale locations to serve your pet care needs: Five Points Pet Resort in Raeford and Five Points Pet Resort at Vass.
Our original location opened in 2004, just one mile from the Carolina Horse Park. We were the first in the Sandhills area to offer high-end pet accommodations featuring webcam viewing, indoor/outdoor pet suites (not cages), turf exercise areas for dogs, and a serene cat atrium. Also, we brought services to pets unheard of at the time with our golf cart rides, pool playtimes, individual TLC time, nature walks, and late night potty breaks.
In 2016, we were pleased to acquire Sandhills Pet Resort from builder and owner, Willard Rhodes. This facility, built in 2008, shares part of the Sandhills Pet Emporium location on US Hwy 1 with the Small Animal Emergency Veterinary Clinic and Spay/Neuter Clinic.
To unify both locations and to continue with Five Points Pet Resort’s reputation of excellence in customer service, five star accommodations, and amenities, Sandhills Pet Resort became Five Points Pet Resort at Vass. Our goal is to provide clients at both locations the protection and security of two professional facilities featuring convenient locations and just about any service they could want for their dog or cat. |

We offer boarding 365 days a year. While boarding, your dog will play during the day and have access to their own individual suite for nap times. We have a grassy outdoor play area for their enjoyment, which is always supervised by a resort member of staff. The play areas are pest controlled monthly. |

Dogs are housed in indoor/outdoor runs that are climate controlled with air conditioning in summer and heat in winter. Each room has a private covered patio. We can accommodate up to 55 pets. We are a small facility and we pride ourselves on the individual care and attention that each pet receives.
We provide our guests with beds, blankets, toys, and bowls. If you wish, you may bring one small blanket and two toys from home (no rawhide please). All items brought from home should be clearly marked with your dog's name. We will be glad to feed your pet our kennel kibble or your own dog food from home up to 3 times daily. Food brought from home must be prepackaged in zip lock bags (with one meal per bag). If you don't wish to bag your dog's food, we will be happy to bag it for you for a charge of $1.00 per bag. Bring one or two extra meals in case you are delayed on your return. Each dog will be given treats throughout the day and at bedtime. Cool, fresh water is available at all times. |

We have numerous trails where your pets are walked several times daily. The kennel is located inside our log home. We have central air conditioning and central heat, provided by our state of the art geothermal unit. The kennel is kept at the same temperature as our home. In addition to walks out on the trails, we have several individual, covered, outside runs where the dogs can play. We have special cat rooms just for your feline family members. |

We take great pride in our stress-free kennel for all our guest. We only have walls. no chain link fence between guests. Your pet will love the safe feeling they get from the private space and the peace of not having their neighbor “barking” a them. We never walk on busy roads. We have seven beautiful acres for lots of open space. We do not charge for walks. All our guests get to walk at least once a day and more if time allows. Our Social play is every day and is always supervised weather indoors or outdoors. If your pet does not play well with others our family loves to throw a ball or Frisbee with our guest. Poor weather will not keep us from playing. Our huge indoor play area is perfect for romping fun.

We provide toys, beds and blankets and do not take personal belongings. We also provide our own food (Canidae dry and wet) but we will accept special diets for allergies/sensitive stomachs/etc. for a small fee ($1/meal). Please, no raw diets, human food, rawhide, or bones. Please try to check in by 3 pm so your pet has time to acclimate to the facility, eat, and have some playtime before we close. We have staff who live on the premises that check on your pets every night, gives them cookies, and is available in the event of an emergency. |
