We are recognized for our extremely clean facility. We sanitize our runs every day, not just when a dog leaves. We provide stainless steel bowls which are hand scrubbed then also cleaned by our dishwasher every day (we bought twice the amount of bowls needed so they are never without bowls). We will also wash any bedding, blankets or toys you bring on the day of departure. We have been open since May 2005. Time flies when you're having fun! We are also known for our endless amounts of human contact. Whether you purchase playtimes or not, your loved one will be exactly that - a very loved one! |

Homosassa Animal & Bird Hospital |
Enjoy peace of mind knowing your pet is being cared for in the cleanest and safest environment possible. Only trained technicians are involved in the care and treatment of your pets while boarding. Homosassa Animal and Bird Hospital has monitored security and fire systems. If your pet has a complicated medical condition or needs daily medications, our staff has the expertise to provide the care needed. Admissions and discharges are available from 8:00am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday, and Weekends from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Rates are based on species and/or body weight. All pets are checked for fleas at admission, and treated if needed to keep our hospitalized and boarding patients parasite-free.
DOGS: Your dog will be housed in the cleanest environment possible. Physical contact between dogs is avoided to protect your pet from disease exchange and injury. All dogs receive A MINIMUM of three walks per day. All dogs staying with us seven nights or longer receive a complimentary bath, nail trim, and ear cleaning on the day before discharge. Safe and sanitary toys are also provided at no cost. We require all canine boarders to be current on Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordatella vaccines and have a current fecal parasite check
CATS: Your cat will be housed in a single cat unit or multi-level condo based on your preference. Boarding cats are kept in a separate area away from dogs. Your furry friend will not be frightened by barking. All cats are provided with fresh litter pans twice daily. Safe and sanitary toys are also provided, as well as individual attention from our stsff members. We require all feline boarders to be current on Rabies and Distemper vaccines and have a current fecal parasite check.
AVIAN & EXOTICS: Birds are housed in owner provided individual units separate from other pets. Social interaction with trained staff members is provided daily. We prefer your pet’s regular diet be provided, however our facility is equipped to supply special needs. All cages, perches, and toys are sanitized daily.
A variety of exotic pets - from rabbits to reptiles - are also welcome guests. We request you provide appropriate food for your exotic pet, and housing if needed. Our specialized, trained staff will clean and sanitize your pet’s environment daily while your exotic is safely housed with us. Those pets on medications will receive those medications and treatments on schedule by our staff.
Dr. Hall is well-versed in avian/exotic medicine and husbandry. Any medical needs or treatments your pet may have can be easily and capably supplied. |

DOG BOARDING
While you traveling for work, on vacation or just taking care of life, we can provide a great getaway at the Dog Camp for your dog. Skylights and spacious indoor/outdoor overnight cabins create a comfortable, safe environment where your dog can rest well. We supply Kurunda off the floor beds, daily walks with our Camp Counselors, 15 minute cuddle sessions, and much more to help your camper feel right at home. An hour of group play is included with your reservation, but if you would prefer that your camper play all day we can add that to his/her schedule. Dogs are still welcome to stay in a traditional doghouse at Maple Tree Veterinary Hospital. Those stays will be the basic boarding without the list of amenities shown for the cabins. |
