JW’s Kennels opened in 2014 in rural Hinton, IA. The business is run by two lifelong animal lovers who are excited to care for your pet in their facility. The facility, a new construction, is located at their home where your pet will have twenty-four hour on-site care. Catering towards dogs and cats, the kennel has separate areas to ensure the safety and well-being of your pet. Your dog will enjoy a kennel where they can choose to be inside or outside (weather permitting). Each kennel’s wall is made of cinder block to prevent dogs from agitating each other. All kennel gates are made of steel to help prevent escape artists from letting themselves out. The floors of the building are heated to help keep your dog comfortable in colder months. Every kennel has a gravel covered drain to keep each area clean. Each dog is let outside a minimum of five times a day. Your dog will be able to enjoy private running in our fenced exercise area for at least thirty minutes a day (if you have more than one dog at the kennel, they can go out together). Your cat will be in a safe, separate cattery where they will have their own crate and access to their own litterbox. Each cat will have thirty minutes of time outside of their crate by themselves. After your pet leaves, their kennel will be cleaned and sanitized to ensure that each animal in our kennel is happy and healthy. JW’s Kennels provides food and water dishes for your pet, as well as mats for your pet to sleep on. Kitty litter is also provided for your cat. You provide special treats, toys, bedding, medicine, leashes, and food. JW’s Kennels does require that all pets are up to date on their shots, including rabies and kennel cough (JW’s Kennels will keep a copy of each pet’s shot records for licensing reasons). We are able to administer medicine (including shots) if needed. We also have a veterinarian on call for any emergencies. |
