Let our St. Peter office be the place where you feel confident leaving your pets when you need to get away. We have separate wards for dogs and cats and require that all animals be current on core vaccinations prior to their stay. Animals are housed individually and are able to go outside twice daily.
Our spacious runs in our dog kennel get natural light from an outside window, and our exercise areas are large and clean. We cater to animals with special food or medication requirements and offer walks for your pet at your request. Our kennel person, Peggy, keeps us apprised of the wellbeing of every animal in our care. |

Bring your dog to Great River Pet Center where they can also enjoy time away from home as much at their owners. Your pet will be in great hands because our facility is a home away from home. All of our canine guests receive a minimum of 3 outdoor exercises/potty breaks per day for a minimum of 15 minutes in our individual outdoor fenced runs, depending on the weather. In the winter, our little guys, and our seniors, go to a special room where they won't be affected by the cold & snow. |

We offer boarding for dogs, cats, birds and other exotic animals when your pet needs a home away from home. We have runs for large dogs, as well as kennels for pets of various sizes. Boarders must be current on their vaccinations, fecal tests and flea/tick preventive. We will be happy to update your pet’s vaccinations, if necessary, when it comes in for boarding. Because our boarding facilities can fill up quickly, please make your boarding reservation well in advance.
Veterinary technicians regularly check on the pets, and our assistants monitor the boarding area. You have the added benefit of knowing that one of our clinicians will promptly begin treatment if your pet gets sick during his or her stay.
We provide amenities such as clean bedding and food and water bowls. We will administer any needed medication and follow your specified feeding regimen. (Alternately, we can provide a high-quality dry diet for no extra charge, although eating their own food tends to agree better with most boarded pets.) We can also provide grooming services before you pick up your pet at an additional fee.

Your dog can stay in one of 2 Deluxe Suites, 8 Executive Suites, 3 Presidential Suites, or 17 Petite Suites.
Guests can stay alone in their own suite or share their vacation with up to 2 friends.
Each suite provides the dogs with raised bowls and large, comfortable beds for those non-chewers.
Each hotel guest is taken outside three times daily. You can also schedule your pet for two socialized play sessions daily (included in your hotel suite price) with our other guests and staff along with naptimes and special treats.
Each guest must pass our socialization test prior to being allowed into play sessions. Those who do not pass will be given shorter, individual play times (at a reduced rate).
Each of our play session guests MUST be neutered or spayed if over 6 months of age. Intact animals are welcome to stay in our hotel but will not be eligible for socialized playtime.
Each guest must be current on vaccinations for rabies, distemper and kennel cough, be on monthly flea control and an intestinal de-wormer.
If your dog is taking any medications, be sure to bring them in the original bottle. This is a state requirement and it ensures that we can provide accurate information to our veterinarian in the event of an emergency. |

Mike and Lisa have created Prairie Ranch Kennels out of their love for animals, and the joy of sharing the wide open country with them. The farm is a haven for wildlife and farm animals. Wild turkey, ducks, geese, pheasant, quail, and deer share the farm along with their own cows, horses, cats, and dogs.
Mike is an avid hunter and has been a personal dog trainer for over forty-five years. His early years were spent hunting and field trialing, never missing the opportunity to be outdoors doing what he loved to do best. Raising a family and running a manufacturing facility soon cut into his precious hunting and training time, but he vowed to one day to return to his favorite past time.
Lisa, as a youth, aspired to be a professional tennis player and world class athlete. Her dreams were recognized when she played at the U.S. Open and Wimbledon just before sustaining a career ending accident. The same passion that sustained her drive for professional tennis, transformed itself into her becoming the best mother and wife she could be.
As the years have passed, and the kids have left for college and careers, Mike and Lisa have turned their passions toward developing their farm. It was Mike’s love of dogs and hunting that inspired the dog training facilities, and it was Lisa’s nurturing, yet competitive compassion to create the best local boarding facility that brought about Prairie Ranch Kennels. |

Outside 40 acres are here to be explored with adventures in the fields or ponds. Explore the walking trails that wander through the property or play a game of fetch in or out of the water. Large grass fenced yards give every dog a chance to exercise outside. We are one of the few boarding kennels that feels like your yard and the dog park combined. We are proud to offer your dog huge grass yards, fresh air and sunshine. Additional services including extra outside yard times, packages, activities, baths and "Happy Hours" are all available. We hope to meet the varied needs of all the pets that are entrusted to our care. |
