We provide boarding for our regular clients. We provide runs and cages for dogs as well as cages for cats in a separate room. Cats can be provided a “cat condo” for roomier accommodations for a slightly higher fee. The cat room has a large picture window with an outside bird feeder to provide additional entertainment! We provide bedding for your pet, so you don’t have to bring yours. The dogs are allowed to exercise in a fenced grass area behind our clinic while the technicians clean the cage or run. We feed a high quality canned or dry food to your pet, or you may choose to provide your regular diet with specific feeding instructions. Medications can also be administered if necessary by our staff. Make your reservations early, especially for peak holiday and vacation times. |

We are a small, family-owned and operated pet boarding kennel service located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, just a short drive south on Rt. 13 from Salisbury on the outskirts of Princess Anne. We generally house no more than 22 pets at any given time, so that we can spend several hours, daily, giving each pet extra time and attention. However, our kennels are roomy enough to allow 'siblings' to be housed together, allowing us to accomodate more guest's needs. We strive to give them the same attention they would receive at home- after all we want you to feel confident that your pet is happy and well cared for. Boarding can be a very exciting and pleasant experience for your pet. It can also be stressful. To eliminate as much of this stress as possible, we recommend that you make your check-in as short as possible. If you are stressed, your pet will sense that and reflect your demeanor.
At check-in time you will be asked to complete our check-in form. This form contains emergency contact information as well as any instructions required to make your pet's stay a happy experience. You can download this form from our Downloads Page and fill it out in advance, making the process quicker for you and easier for your pet when you arrive.
You are welcome to bring ONE favorite toy per guest. Please note that Wye River Kennel accepts no responsibility for the loss or destruction of toys. The toy must be safe and large enough for you pet. Sorry, we do NOT accept tennis balls. |
