We do not use cages - all dogs, or families of dogs, have individual runs with plenty of blankets and bedding. Buildings are heated and air conditioned.
We have nine securely fenced yards where our dogs can run and play at no extra charge.
Some dogs like to join a play group of dogs their own size. Some dogs like to play ball or Frisbee by themselves. Some dogs just like to sniff smell and run by themselves. However ALL dogs get plenty of time to run, play and relax.
Because we usually have no more than 20 dogs boarding at a time, we can give each dog the amount of time and type of play that they prefer.
Play times are usually 4-5 times a day - depending on weather conditions.
Puppies (over age 4 months) go out in the yard to play and then often follow us around and "help" us to do cleaning and other chores. This allows them to get the extra attention they need as pups. |
